Entry service

Technical assessment to frame complex problems and define the next steps.

Strategic Technical Assessment helps turn a broad request into a delimited technical question. It is paid framing work for situations in which the required service is not yet clear, but it is not a mandatory stage for every engagement.

In the first contact, do not send complete case files, personal or confidential documents, credentials or sensitive material.

When it makes sense to start with an assessment

A technical assessment may be appropriate when there is a complex dispute, failure or decision, but the technical object, relevant sources or required work still need to be delimited.

  • Requests involving different disciplines or hypotheses
  • Dispersed documentation or evidence that has not yet been organised
  • Uncertainty about the need for an opinion, expert examination, investigation or audit
  • Risk of losing records or adopting a conclusion prematurely

What Badenas initially assesses

The initial assessment considers the stated problem, purpose, technical object, available sources and known limits, without anticipating a conclusion that depends on missing material.

  • Central questions and purpose of the request
  • Documents, records and evidence reported as available
  • Gaps, technical hypotheses, risks and limitations
  • Need to preserve or obtain additional material

What the client may receive

Depending on the scope, the assessment may include a synthesis of the technical object, central questions, existing sources, gaps, hypotheses, risks and limitations, together with recommended next steps where applicable.

  • Framing of the technical question
  • Initial map of evidence and gaps
  • Hypotheses and limitations requiring verification
  • Reasoned recommendation of next technical steps

What the assessment is not

It is not a free consultation, an expanded free quotation, a mini-report, a simplified opinion or a promise of conclusion. It does not replace later examinations when the answer depends on in-depth analysis, an inspection or new evidence.

Possible next steps

The assessment may indicate subsequent work without making that continuation mandatory. The recommendation depends on the object, purpose and material effectively available.

  • Technical Document Analysis
  • Expert Questions
  • Technical Opinion
  • Expert Technical Assistance
  • Technical Investigation
  • Technical Audit
  • Evidence Preservation and Analysis

How to begin

The first contact presents only the context, purpose and urgency. Badenas checks whether the assessment is appropriate and, where there is a fit, proposes the scope, procedure, conditions and secure channel for the necessary material.

Next step

Describe the technical context and the available material.
